Jinan Worldwide Auto-Accessory Limited
(previously named as Jinan Auto Accessory Factory) is a professional manufacturer of engine valves and tappets.
Through continuous efforts and innovation, Jinan Worldwide has become the
largest domestic company that is engaged in production and distribution of auto
engine valves and tappets from a small workshop. “China First” has been created consecutively by Jinan Worldwide in 62 years since its inception in 1956.
1. The
first company to adopt electric upset forging
technology
Jinan Worldwide successfully developed the
first single-station horizontal valve blank electric
upsetting machine in 1965 in cooperation with Institute of Casting and Forging Machinery
of First Ministry of Machinery Industry. The first semi-automatic six-station
electric upsetting machine was also developed by Jinan Worldwide two years
later. The electric upsetting technology has greatly improved working
environment, reduced labor intensity, improved product quality, and promoted
the rapid development of valve production in China.
2. The
first company to introduce Friction Welding Machine
Jinan Worldwide successfully welded two
different metals by using flash welding technology to realize substantial cost
reduction in 1970s. In the meantime the company took the lead in developing
more advance friction welding technology and imported the first friction
welding machine at the beginning of 1980s. Friction welding technology was then
adopted in producing many engine valves including BJ213, Santana, Cummins and Steyr, etc.
3. First
time to use austenite steel
Jinan Worldwide planned a
material transition from martensite steel to austenite steel in 1978. The technicians
successfully developed production technology for 21-4N austenite steel
engine valve in the next year. The company doubled the output of engine valves
in 1980s by using this technology. Manufacturing technology of austenitic
heat-resistant stainless steel valve was rewarded Second Prize for Science & technology Progress of China Automotive Industry in 1992.
4. The first conical overlaying welding equipment
Jinan Worldwide first
developed alloy surfacing process for valve conical surface in China and
manufactured plasma valve conical surfacing machine in 1980s. This technology
took place traditional manual oxyacetylene surfacing welding and automatic
oxyacetylene welding. Plasma arc powder surfacing technology can be regarded as
a subversive
technological revolution in Chinese engine valve industry as it greatly
improved labor efficiency. Currently most production lines of the company are
composed of self-developed equipment.
5. The first hollow sodium-filled engine valve
At the request of
Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW Volkswagen, Jinan Worldwide developed the first
domestic hollow sodium-filled engine
valve in 1998 and filled the gap in this field. The technical conditions for sodium,
zirconium, surfacing material P37S and finished product inspection standards of sodium-filled
engine valve are all formulated by Jinan Worldwide.
